Dr. Figueroa is a Vascular Surgeon and the Founder of VeinCentre by NTS, a dedicated venous-care clinic in Richmond Hill providing comprehensive diagnosis and treatment of venous disease of the lower extremities, intra-abdominal region, and pelvis. He also serves at North Toronto Surgical and Hennick Humber Hospital (ex Humber River Hospital). Over the course of his practice, Dr. Figueroa has performed more than 3,000 venous procedures, including sclerotherapy, radiofrequency ablation, and VenaSeal.

Dr. Figueroa completed his Doctor of Medicine at La Salle University in Mexico, followed by a General Surgery Residency at the ABC Medical Centre (UNAM). He completed his Vascular Surgery Residency at the University of Toronto, where he served as Chief Resident, followed by a Vascular Surgery Fellowship there.

 

He holds his Fellowship with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) and is a Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation (RPVI) with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography. He recently completed the Emerging COO: Driving Innovation and Operational Excellence program at the Stanford Graduate School of Business.

Dr. Figueroa holds academic appointments as Adjunct Assistant Professor at Queen's University and Lecturer in the Division of Vascular Surgery at the University of Toronto. He is also retained as an Independent Medical Examiner in Vascular Surgery for the Province of Ontario, providing chart reviews and expert testimony for plaintiff, defence, and insurer panels.

Dr. Figueroa practices across the full spectrum of vascular surgery, including open and endovascular aortic repair (EVAR/TEVAR), critical limb ischemia revascularization, carotid surgery, dialysis access, and comprehensive venous disease. He has contributed to clinical research on abdominal aortic aneurysm outcomes and served as a site investigator on a multi-year iliac leg graft registry.
