Sclerotherapy

Is a minimally invasive medical procedure. It is a common and effective method that has been utilized for several decades.

Procedure

Preparation: Stay hydrated and avoid caffeine.

Injection: one of our vascular specialists will administer a sclerosing solution directly into the affected veins. The solution irritates the lining of the veins, causing them to collapse and stick together.

Compression: After the injection, compression may be applied to the treated area to help compress the treated veins, preventing blood from re-entering and promoting the collapse of the vein walls.

Pricing

Consultations are covered under OHIP, otherwise the price is $150.

Ultrasounds can be requested (covered by OHIP).

The price per session is $300. The number of sessions depends on the patient's symptoms.
